AutoShort.org vs AutoShorts.ai: which faceless video tool fits your workflow?

autoshort.org and autoshorts.ai are different companies. Corrected 2026 guide: both start at $19/month; one bills per series and posting frequency, the other by credits with $2.99 packs.

autoshorts.ai is the simpler choice for one hands-off channel, especially with Instagram; autoshort.org is the more flexible, cheaper-to-test choice for several topics, reviewing every video, or skipping a subscription.

Updated 9 October 2026. An earlier version of this article said AutoShorts.ai starts at $29/month and uses basic text-to-speech, and it included several other figures we couldn't verify. Those were wrong. This version uses autoshorts.ai's own pricing section and FAQ. We make AutoShort, so read this as our view, and check both sites before you pay.

First: these are two different companies

AutoShort lives at autoshort.org (that's us). AutoShorts.ai lives at autoshorts.ai. We're not related, and accounts, billing and support are completely separate. If you're looking for one of them, check the domain before you sign up.

Both tools turn a topic into a faceless vertical video with an AI script, AI visuals, a voiceover and captions, and both can post for you. autoshort.org is faceless-only: there are no avatars, AI presenters or on-screen talking characters. The real difference is how you work and how you pay.

The core difference: a series on autopilot vs a credit balance you control

autoshorts.ai is built around the "series." You set a topic and a custom prompt once, and it keeps creating and posting videos on a schedule. Its FAQ says it "wasn't designed for single video creation." You pay per series, by posting frequency:

  • Starter: $19/month, posts 3 times a week
  • Daily: $39/month, posts once a day
  • Hardcore: $69/month, posts twice a day
  • Yearly: $190, $390 or $690 a year (about two months free)
  • Each additional series adds the plan price again (up to 20 series)

Paid plans include posting to TikTok, YouTube and Instagram, editing and preview before posting, HD video, background music, voice cloning and no watermark. They also include a monthly allowance of motion credits that animate the AI images (27, 62 or 124 a month for one series on Starter, Daily or Hardcore).

autoshort.org is built around credits. You can make one video, a batch, or a scheduled Series, and every video draws from the same balance:

  • Starter: $19/month, 1,200 credits (about 30 standard videos at 40 credits each), with a 3-day trial (120 credits, card required)
  • Pro $59 (~100 videos), Business $129 (~250), Scale $299 (~750, with REST API + webhooks)
  • Yearly: $190 (Starter), $590 (Pro) or $1,290 (Business), the price of 10 months; Scale is monthly only
  • No subscription needed: credit packs from $2.99 for 150 credits, up to 5,000 credits for $84.99, and they never expire (videos made without a paid plan carry a watermark; all paid plans are watermark-free)

Which workflow suits you?

Choose autoshorts.ai if: - You run one channel and want it to post on a fixed schedule without opening the app - Instagram posting matters to you - You want voice cloning - You're happy to pay a fixed monthly fee per series

Choose autoshort.org if: - You want to review and edit each video (script, scenes) before it goes out - You run several niches and want one budget instead of one subscription per series - You post in bursts and prefer pay-as-you-go credits that don't expire - You want to start from Shorts that already went viral (Viral Inspiration, Viral Studio) or research niches first (YouTube Niche Finder) - You need an API (Scale plan) - You're building one or more faceless channels toward YouTube or TikTok monetization and want to test niches cheaply first

Cost examples

Scenario autoshorts.ai autoshort.org
1 channel, 3 videos a week Starter $19/month Starter $19/month (~30 standard videos)
1 channel, 1 video a day Daily $39/month Starter $19/month (~30 standard videos)
2 channels, 1 video a day each 2 × Daily = $78/month Pro $59/month (~100 standard videos)
A handful of test videos, no subscription Not available (free plan paused) $2.99 pack (150 credits, ~3 videos; watermarked without a paid plan)

autoshort.org estimates assume standard 60-second videos (40 credits). ElevenLabs voices add 25 credits per video; Google voices are included.

Free options and refunds

  • autoshorts.ai offers a one-video, watermarked free plan, but its pricing section shows it as "Temporarily paused" and its FAQ says it was suspended because of bot abuse. Its FAQ also says it does not offer refunds.
  • autoshort.org has no free plan. every paid plan has a 3-day free trial (120 credits, card required, then the plan's price, from $19/month, unless you cancel), and an eligible first website subscription can be refunded within 14 days.

Video length and voices

autoshorts.ai makes videos of 30–60 or 60–90 seconds and says long-form isn't available yet. It lists roughly 30 languages. autoshort.org makes Shorts of up to 90 seconds and also supports long-form videos (100 credits plus 15 credits per minute). It uses Google voices at no extra credit cost, with ElevenLabs as an option for +25 credits. The language and voice pickers in the app are the source of truth for what's available.

Whichever tool you pick: monetizing a faceless channel

AutoShort is faceless-only. autoshort.org makes narrated videos over AI-generated scenes with word-by-word captions. It does not offer avatars, AI presenters or on-screen talking characters. Faceless channels usually earn through platform payouts, affiliate or product links, and sponsorships. The platform programs have entry requirements:

  • YouTube Partner Program: 1,000 subscribers plus either 4,000 qualified public watch hours in the last 12 months or 10 million qualified Shorts views in the last 90 days. Monetizing creators keep 45% of the Shorts ad revenue allocated to them from the Creator Pool.
  • TikTok Creator Rewards Program: you must be 18+, use a personal account, and have at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. Rewards apply to original videos longer than 1 minute. AutoShort Shorts run up to 90 seconds and long-form is supported, so 61–90 second (or longer) videos can meet the length rule. Originality rules still apply, so qualifying isn't guaranteed.
  • Originality matters: YouTube's monetization policies exclude "inauthentic" content (mass-produced, generic or repetitive videos). Add your own research, angle and editing, and review every video before it goes live.

Hitting these thresholds mostly comes down to picking a niche and posting consistently. AutoShort's Niche Finder and Series scheduling help with both. No tool, including AutoShort, guarantees views, monetization approval or income. More detail: how to make money with faceless YouTube Shorts.

Bottom line

Neither tool is "better" for everyone. autoshorts.ai is the simpler choice for one hands-off channel, especially with Instagram. autoshort.org is the more flexible and cheaper-to-test choice if you run several topics, want to review every video, or don't want a subscription at all.
