How to make money on TikTok with faceless videos (2026)

The real ways faceless TikTok accounts earn in 2026: Creator Rewards (10K followers, 100K views, 1-minute+ videos), TikTok Shop affiliate rules, and brand deals. No hype, official sources.

You don't need to show your face to earn on TikTok. Plenty of accounts run on narration, captions and visuals: history stories, facts, motivation, explainers. But "faceless" doesn't change TikTok's rules. Every income path has eligibility requirements, and TikTok checks content for originality. This guide covers the main ways faceless accounts earn, the official requirements as of 9 October 2026, and a realistic way to start.

Disclosure: we make AutoShort (autoshort.org), a faceless video generator. We link to TikTok's own pages for every rule below. Nobody, including us, can promise you'll earn money; results depend on your niche, your content and the platform.

The short answer

Faceless TikTok accounts usually earn in four ways:

  1. TikTok's Creator Rewards Program: pays for qualified views on original videos longer than 1 minute, once you have 10,000 followers and 100,000 views in 30 days.
  2. TikTok Shop affiliate: earn commission by featuring products in shoppable videos. In the US you need 1,000 followers to start.
  3. Affiliate links and your own products: promote tools, courses or products you actually use.
  4. Brand deals: businesses pay for posts once you have an audience in their niche.

Most faceless accounts reach these in stages: affiliate and TikTok Shop come first, and Creator Rewards needs a bigger audience.

1. TikTok Creator Rewards Program

This is TikTok's main payout program for creators. According to TikTok's Creator Academy, you need to:

  • be 18 or older
  • use a personal account (business, political and government accounts aren't eligible)
  • have at least 10,000 followers
  • have at least 100,000 video views in the last 30 days

Rewards apply only to original videos longer than 1 minute. That length rule is the first thing faceless creators trip over: a 45-second clip won't earn rewards, however many views it gets.

What this means for a faceless account:

  • Make 61-second-plus videos on purpose. A list of five facts or a short story with a clear ending fits naturally into 70–90 seconds.
  • Originality is the bigger hurdle. Reposted clips, unedited compilations and lightly changed copies of other people's videos don't count as original. Write your own script, use your own visuals and narration, and give the viewer something they can't get from the source.
  • Meeting the requirements isn't a guarantee. TikTok decides which videos qualify and how much each qualified view pays.

AutoShort makes Shorts of up to 90 seconds, and it also supports long-form videos, so its 61–90 second (or longer) videos can meet the length rule. Whether a video earns still depends on TikTok's originality review and your audience.

2. TikTok Shop affiliate (US)

TikTok Shop lets creators earn commission when viewers buy products shown in their videos. The rules below come from TikTok Shop's US Creator Eligibility Policy (dated 25 September 2026) and apply to US-based creators. Other countries have their own rules, so check TikTok Shop's page for your market.

To join as an affiliate creator in the US you need to:

  • be 18 or older and based in the US
  • have at least 1,000 followers
  • not be a political or government account
  • pass identity verification, which you need before you can withdraw commissions
  • follow TikTok Shop's policies

If you have fewer than 5,000 followers, you start in the Affiliate Creator Pilot Program for at least 30 days. While you're in it, you can post up to 3 shoppable videos a day and 3 shoppable LIVEs a week, you can only promote products with a Shop Performance Score of 95% or higher, and you can't join campaigns. You graduate once you reach 5,000 followers and have spent 30 days in the pilot.

Faceless fit: product explainers, "3 things I wish I knew before buying…", comparisons and how-to videos all work without a face. Only promote products you'd recommend anyway; viewers notice when a niche account turns into an ad feed.

Outside TikTok Shop, you can recommend products through affiliate programs or sell something of your own (a guide, a template, a course). Pick programs that match your niche: a productivity account can promote tools, a cooking account kitchen gear.

Two rules apply everywhere:

  • Disclose affiliate relationships clearly in the video or caption, and follow TikTok's rules for branded and promotional content.
  • Read each program's terms. Commission rates, cookie windows and payment timing differ from program to program.

If you make videos with AI tools, some of those tools pay affiliates too. For example, the AutoShort affiliate program pays 30% recurring commission for as long as your referrals stay subscribed (40% if you're an AutoShort customer). It runs on Whop: your Whop referral link tracks sign-ups with a 30-day cookie, and Whop holds each commission for 30 days after the sale before paying it out. There's no fee to join. 4. Brand deals

Brands pay creators whose audience matches their customers. A faceless account can still sell sponsored posts: the "face" is your niche, voice and style. Keep a simple media kit (niche, audience, average views, a few example videos) and only take deals that fit what your followers come for. Label sponsored posts as TikTok requires.

A realistic plan for a new faceless TikTok account

  1. Pick one niche you can make 100 videos about. Use AutoShort's faceless video ideas tool or browse what already works in your niche.
  2. Find a repeatable format. One hook style, one visual style, one voice. Repetition in format is fine; repetition in content isn't.
  3. Post consistently, but review every video. Batch-produce, then watch each one before it goes out. Fix weak hooks and anything factually wrong.
  4. Aim for 61–90 seconds on videos you want to count toward Creator Rewards later, and keep shorter cuts for testing hooks.
  5. Add income in stages: affiliate links first, TikTok Shop at 1,000 followers (US), Creator Rewards at 10,000 followers and 100,000 monthly views.
  6. Track what earns, not just what gets views. Drop formats that don't move followers or clicks.

How AutoShort fits in

AutoShort turns a topic, or a script you paste in, into a finished vertical video: a fresh AI image for every scene, an AI voiceover and word-by-word captions. It posts to YouTube on a schedule. Its TikTok direct posting is still in TikTok's content-posting audit and only reaches private accounts, so for now you download the MP4 and post it in the TikTok app. AutoShort is faceless-only: no avatars, AI presenters or on-screen talking characters.

  • Length: Shorts up to 90 seconds; long-form costs 100 credits plus 15 credits per minute.
  • Cost: a standard 60-second video is 40 credits. Starter is $19/month (1,200 credits, about 30 standard videos), or $190/year. Google voices are included; ElevenLabs voices add 25 credits.
  • No-subscription option: 150 credits for $2.99, and pack credits never expire (videos made without a paid plan carry a watermark; all paid plans are watermark-free).

FAQ

Can you make money on TikTok without showing your face? Yes. Faceless accounts can join the Creator Rewards Program, TikTok Shop affiliate and brand deals if they meet the same requirements as any other account. TikTok reviews content for originality, so no tool or method can guarantee income.

How many followers do you need to get paid on TikTok? For the Creator Rewards Program you need at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days, and you must be 18+ with a personal account. In the US, TikTok Shop affiliate starts at 1,000 followers.

How long do TikTok videos need to be for Creator Rewards? Rewards apply only to original videos longer than 1 minute. AutoShort makes Shorts of up to 90 seconds and supports long-form, so its 61–90 second or longer videos can meet the length rule; originality rules still apply.

Can faceless accounts join TikTok Shop affiliate? Yes, if they meet the rules. In the US you must be 18+, US-based, have at least 1,000 followers, not be a political or government account, and pass identity verification to withdraw commissions. Accounts under 5,000 followers start in a 30-day-minimum pilot program with posting limits.

Do AI-generated faceless videos get monetized on TikTok? They can, if they're original and follow TikTok's rules. Reposted clips and lightly edited copies of other people's videos don't count as original. Write your own scripts, review every video and add something the viewer can't get elsewhere.

How much do faceless TikTok accounts make? It varies too much to give a reliable number. Earnings depend on niche, audience location, video length, originality and TikTok's own rates. Be wary of anyone promising a specific income.

Is AutoShort faceless-only? Yes. AutoShort (autoshort.org) makes narrated videos over AI-generated scenes with word-by-word captions. It doesn't offer avatars, AI presenters or on-screen talking characters.

Does AutoShort have an affiliate program? Yes. The autoshort.org affiliate program pays 30% recurring commission for as long as referred customers stay subscribed (40% if you are an AutoShort customer). It runs on Whop: your Whop referral link tracks sign-ups with a 30-day cookie, and Whop holds each commission for 30 days after the sale before paying it out. There's no fee to join.
