Getting Started

Q: How do I create my first video?

A: Tap "Create Video" on the dashboard, enter your topic or script, select art style and voice, then tap "Generate Video". Your video is usually ready in a few minutes.

Q: What subscription plan should I choose?

A:

  • Starter ($19/month, 1,200 credits): Regular creators (~30 videos/month)
  • Pro ($59/month, 4,000 credits): Professional creators (~100 videos/month)
  • Business ($129/month, 10,000 credits): Agencies and teams (~250 videos/month)

Q: How many videos can I create?

A: It depends on your plan and the features you use. Standard videos cost 40 credits, the same for every art style. ElevenLabs voices add 25 credits; long-form and AI video clips cost more.

Credits & Billing

Q: How does the credit system work?

A: Credits are used to generate videos. Costs vary based on features:

  • Standard video: 40 credits ($0.80)
  • Premium art style video (any paid plan): 40 credits ($0.80)
  • Premium voice (ElevenLabs): +25 credits (+$0.50)
  • Singing video: 60 credits ($1.20)
  • Watermark removal: 100 credits ($2.00)

Q: Do unused credits roll over?

A: No, credits reset at the start of each billing period. However, bonus credits (earned from feedback or promotions) do not expire.

Q: How do I cancel my subscription?

A: Go to iPhone Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → AutoShort → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: Refunds are handled by Apple. Contact Apple Support or request a refund through https://reportaproblem.apple.com.

Q: How do I earn bonus credits?

A: Submit feedback after generating a video to earn 20 bonus credits (one-time per video).

Features

Q: What art styles are available?

A:

  • Standard (every plan): Clean, cinematic look
  • Premium styles (any paid plan, no extra credits): Brick Toy, Comic Book, Classic Animation, Hand-drawn Anime, Pixel Art, Watercolor, Oil Painting, Cyberpunk, Fantasy, Anime

Q: Can I use my own voice?

A: Natural Google Cloud voices are included on every plan, and ElevenLabs voices are available for +25 credits per video. Custom voice upload is not yet available.

Q: How do singing videos work?

A: Enter lyrics, select a music style (Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc.), choose voice type (Male/Female), and duration (30s/45s/60s). We'll generate music with Suno AI and turn it into a video.

Q: Can I post videos directly to TikTok/YouTube?

A: Yes! Connect your YouTube channel in Settings → Connected Accounts and enable auto-post on a Series; new videos upload to YouTube once rendered. For TikTok, connect your account, open a finished video and click Upload to TikTok: the video goes to your TikTok drafts, and you open TikTok to add a caption and post it. A Series can also send each new video to your TikTok drafts. Posting straight to TikTok from AutoShort is waiting on TikTok's audit. (Instagram Reels coming soon.)

Technical Issues

Q: Why is my video generation taking so long?

A: Video generation usually takes a few minutes. If it's taking much longer:

  • Check your internet connection
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Contact support if it exceeds 5 minutes

Q: My video failed to generate. What should I do?

A:

  1. Check if you have sufficient credits
  2. Ensure your input text is appropriate (no prohibited content)
  3. Try again with a simpler prompt
  4. Contact support@autoshort.org if the issue persists

Q: How do I report a bug?

A: Email support@autoshort.org with:

  • Description of the issue
  • Steps to reproduce
  • Screenshots (if applicable)
  • Your device model and iOS version

Q: The app keeps crashing. How do I fix it?

A:

  1. Force quit the app and restart
  2. Update to the latest version in App Store
  3. Restart your iPhone
  4. Reinstall the app (your data is saved in the cloud)

Account & Privacy

Q: How do I delete my account?

A: Go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This will permanently delete all your data (videos, settings, credits).

Q: What data do you collect?

A: We collect:

  • Email and name (for authentication)
  • Video metadata (titles, scripts, settings)
  • Usage analytics (to improve the app)
  • Device information (for compatibility)

A: No, we never sell your personal data to third parties.

Q: How do I export my data?

Troubleshooting Guide

Can't Sign In

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Verify email/password
  3. Try "Forgot Password" if needed
  4. Clear app cache: Settings → Clear Cache

Video Won't Download

  1. Check storage space on your iPhone
  2. Grant photo library permission: Settings → AutoShort → Photos → Allow
  3. Try downloading again

Credits Not Updating

  1. Force quit and reopen app
  2. Check App Store for pending subscription changes
  3. Restore purchases: Settings → Restore Purchases
