Can I paste a Reddit link into AutoShort?

No. AutoShort does not fetch posts from Reddit. Copy the story text from the post and paste it into Chat to Video instead.

Does AutoShort add Minecraft or Subway Surfers gameplay behind the story?

No. AutoShort has no gameplay backgrounds. It draws an AI image for each scene of the story instead. If the gameplay look is what you want, a dedicated tool such as Crayo fits better.

How do I make the voice read the story exactly as written?

In Chat to Video, write "Read this word for word:" and put the story in quotation marks. AutoShort then reads your text unchanged, up to about 225 words (90 seconds). If the story has dialogue in double quotes, change those to single quotes first so the whole story stays inside one quotation.

What happens with a story longer than 90 seconds?

AutoShort will not cut your words to fit. A story over about 225 words (90 seconds) is refused, and a quoted story over about 2,000 characters is not read word for word at all: AutoShort treats it as a brief and writes its own short version. Split long stories into Part 1 and Part 2 before you paste, which is also how most Reddit story channels post long stories.

Am I allowed to use other people's Reddit posts?

A Reddit post belongs to the person who wrote it. Ask the author, use your own story, or use a Series, where AutoShort writes original Reddit-style stories. You are responsible for what you publish.

How much does a Reddit story video cost?

A standard video costs 40 credits. Every paid plan starts with a 3-day free trial (card required) that includes 120 credits, about three videos. After that, Starter is $19 a month for 1,200 credits.

How to Make a Reddit Story Video in 3 Steps

Paste the story into Chat to Video

Open Chat to Video, type "Read this word for word:" and paste the story inside quotation marks. Up to about 225 words, which is 90 seconds of narration.

AutoShort builds the video

Your exact words are split into 2–6 scenes at the story's own punctuation. Each scene gets an AI-drawn image, the narration is read by an AI voice, and captions are burned in.

Review, download, post

Watch the preview, download the vertical MP4 and upload it to TikTok, Shorts or Reels. Series videos can upload to a connected YouTube channel automatically.

Example message for Chat to Video

Read this word for word: "AITA for refusing to switch seats on a flight? I paid extra for a window seat months ago. A woman asked me to swap so she could sit next to her husband, but her seat was a middle seat near the bathroom. I said no politely. Her husband called me selfish loud enough for the whole row to hear. Now my sister says I should have just moved. So, am I the jerk?"

The story is our own example, not a real post. Leave out "word for word" and AutoShort retells the story in its own words instead.

Three Ways to Make Reddit Story Videos

Chat to Video

Your story, word for word

Ask for it word for word and AutoShort reads exactly what you pasted, up to about 225 words. Without that instruction, it treats your paste as a brief and writes its own 8–90 second retelling.

Card with a Voice

Your picture, your words

Upload one image you made (a title card, say) and up to 1,200 characters of text (and no more than about 225 words, or 90 seconds, of speech). Pick a male or female voice and the reading speed. English narration; the image stays on screen for the whole video.

Series

New stories on a schedule

Choose the Reddit Stories niche and AutoShort writes a new Reddit-style story for each video, on a schedule. These are AI-written stories, not real posts.
