Report content or request a takedown

Last updated: October 19, 2026

If a video made with AutoShort breaks our Acceptable Use Policy, or uses your work, face or voice without your permission, tell us here. Our team reviews the reports we receive.

1. What you can report

Tell us about any video, channel or account that involves:

  • Sexual content: sexual, pornographic or nude material.
  • Minors: any sexualized, exploitative or dangerous depiction of a child, or a minor's face, body or voice.
  • Impersonation and deepfakes: a real person's face, body or voice used without their consent, face swaps, voice clones or fake endorsements.
  • Copyright and trademark: your protected work, characters, logos or brand used without permission.
  • Illegal activity: fraud, scams, weapons, illegal drugs, hacking, terrorism, or content that encourages self-harm.
  • Non-consensual intimate imagery: intimate images of a person that were made or shared without their consent.

2. How to report

Email support@autoshort.org with the subject “Abuse report”. The button below opens an email with a template already filled in. Please include:

  • The link to the video or channel, or the video ID.
  • The category from the list above.
  • Who you are: your name, and whether you are the person shown or the rights holder.
  • How we can contact you.
Email an abuse report

Please keep the subject line “Abuse report” so we can find your message quickly.

3. Copyright and trademark owners

To help us act quickly on an infringement report, also include:

  • Identification of the work you own or are authorized to act for, for example a link to the original.
  • The URL of the video that uses it.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
  • Your signature (a typed full name is fine) and your contact details.

This is a plain checklist to speed up our review. It is not legal advice, and AutoShort does not claim to be a registered DMCA agent.

4. What we do

  • We aim to acknowledge every report within 5 business days.
  • For non-consensual intimate imagery and content involving minors, we aim to act within 48 hours.
  • Depending on what we find, we may remove the content, pause video creation or suspend the account, and disconnect connected channels.
  • We keep a minimal record. Our automated safety log stores a fingerprint and a short redacted excerpt of refused requests, never the full content, and it is deleted after 90 days.

5. Images and AI labels

Photos uploaded to be turned into video are screened before they are used, and images with real people's faces, nudity or possible minors are refused. Clips made from an image carry an “AI-generated” label in the video file's metadata.
